Mileage is given to employees as per diem, meaning they didn't have to actually, physically fork over cash for anything. The company just pays for for using your own vehicle. Tolls on the other hand, those are cash paid by the employee and are directly reimbursed. So per diem mileage would be an expense item entirely separate
